Here are four signs your customer needs more help.
Listen for them to say:
- “It’s very confusing.”
- “I can’t figure it out.”
- “I’m not sure how to … ” or
- “It doesn’t seem to … ”
If they use one of these sentences, it’s a sign they’re struggling to soak in what you have to say or explain about their situations.
If that’s the case, it’s time to use shorter sentences, and speak slower. Setting a slower pace will help keep both you and the customer calm and focused, according to Val and Jeff Gee, authors of Super Service.
