Contact center agents don’t have to be great salespeople to make a few sales that help the bottom line. Here are five keys to getting it done.

- Believe in yourself. You have the right knowledge to know what fits customers’ needs.
- Believe in customers. They contacted you: They believe in you and want to hear what you have to offer.
- Believe in your products and/or services by learning more about them every week.
- Be honest. If customers don’t need more or different products, don’t offer for the sake of offering.
- Help customers. That’s the first priority. Once you’ve done what needs to be done, suggest something else that may work.
