Why President Obama says Customer Service must get better

This command to improve customer service comes straight from the top. President Barack Obama weighs in on the state of service – and how it affects your contact center.

The President just issued an order, “Streamlining Service Delivery and Improving Customer Service” to almost every federal government agency. His office asked them to develop customer service plans that adopt best practices from the private sector, develop service standards, implement more technology in service and track performance against them – all within 180 days.

How it will affect your contact center:

  • Be ready to show your best. The government may check on your service levels.
  • Spiff it up. If government agencies make serious improvements, the bar will be raised. Customers may expect more from you soon!
