Desk yoga (that won’t make you look ridiculous) for when you need to relax

If you’re feeling sluggish, stressed or overwhelmed, some inconspicuous yoga at your desk really will help.

When you can take a quick break, try any of these exercises at your desk from the experts at Yoga Journal:

  1. Sit at the edge of your seat and plant your feet on the floor, about hip distance apart. Place your palms on your thighs and stretch your upper body through your spine. In that position, inhale and exhale for five counts. Repeat as needed.
  2. Inhale and lift your arms overhead. Take a hold of your left wrist with your right hand and bend it right as you exhale a few times. Inhale and switch wrists, bending the other way and exhaling a few times. Inhale up to a tall spine and release your arms.
