New customers are ripe for becoming loyal customers. Try one of these three welcomes to make sure they come back. Once contact center agents have established they’re talking to new customers, they’ll want to kick off great experiences by saying:
- “I’ve heard some great things about you.” This works best when customers have talked to a salesperson or someone else in the company first.
- “I’m so glad I get to help you today.” This indicates that it’s the agent’s pleasure – not obligation – to make the first call outstanding.
- “I look forward to that.” Try this phrase before you say goodbye so first-time customers know you’ll remember them and be ready to help next time.
